Last week, President Trump issued an executive order barring citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States. President Trump's #MuslimBan has not made us safer. It has made us less so. The injunction against President Trump's Executive Order must be immediately enforced nationwide to prevent further harm from his immoral and unconstitutional ban on Muslims.

My Body. My Choice.

Days after the anniversary of Roe v. Wade and after millions of women marched to have their voices heard, the Trump administration is continuing their dangerous crusade to put the government in charge of women's bodies and put bureaucrats in charge of families' private health decisions.

This week the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released a report showing Republicans' plan to repeal the Affordable Care will be nothing less than a nightmare for the American people.

For tens of millions of Americans who will lose health coverage, including seniors who pay more for everything from prescriptions to preventative care, Republicans' plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act nothing short of a nightmare. ‘Repeal and replace' has only one thing going for it: alliteration – there is no alternative and no replacement.

House Republicans showed their true colors this week, and reversing their plans to destroy the Office of Congressional Ethics will not obscure their clear contempt for ethics in the People's House. Once again, the American people have seen the toxic dysfunction of a Republican House that will do anything to further their special interest agenda, thwart transparency and undermine the public trust.

With 2016 coming to a close, I write to wish you a safe, happy and healthy New Year. As we head into the New Year, I will continue to bring the strength of our values to Congress and will oppose any attempts to persecute Americans because of who they are, how they worship or who they love.
