On Memorial Day, we gathered at the San Francisco National Cemetery in the Presidio to honor the brave servicemembers who gave their lives in defense of our Democracy and our freedoms. On those sacred grounds overlooking the Bay, we paid tribute to generations of Americans whose courage and sacrifice continue to inspire our nation.

Averting a Nationwide Rail Shutdown
This week, President Biden and the Democratic Congress enacted legislation to avert a disastrous nationwide rail shutdown and implement the Tentative Agreement secured through months of hard-fought negotiations. This decisive action was vital to safeguarding the financial security of America's families and protecting our economy's continued recovery: saving as many as 765,000 jobs, preventing painful price hikes and keeping essential goods on the shelf.
Giving Thanks and Offering Prayers
Each year on Thanksgiving, we pause to cherish the many blessings that God has bestowed upon us and upon our nation. On this all-American holiday, we break bread with family and friends and spend time in our communities. Personally, I am endlessly grateful for all of life's blessings: for my dear husband Paul, for our beautiful family and for the people of San Francisco, who have entrusted me with the privilege of being their voice in Congress.

On Paul's Release from the Hospital
The Pelosi family is thankful for the beautiful outpouring of love, support and prayers from around the world.
Paul is grateful to the 911 operator, emergency responders, trauma care team, ICU staff, and the entire ZSFGH medical staff for their excellent and compassionate life-saving treatment he received after the violent assault in our home.
Paul remains under doctors' care as he continues to progress on a long recovery process and convalescence. He is now home surrounded by his family who request privacy.
Spokesperson Statement on Violent Assault on Paul Pelosi Earlier this morning, Paul Pelosi was attacked at home by an assailant who acted with force, and threatened his life while demanding to see the Speaker. Mr. Pelosi was admitted to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital where he underwent successful surgery to repair a skull fracture and serious injuries to his right arm and hands. His doctors expect a full recovery. |
