Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement after Republican Budget Committee Chairman Tom Price released House Republicans' budget resolution for the coming fiscal year:

"Our budgets are nothing less than a statement of our values. Republicans' values are clear: big tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy and no concern for the challenges faced by hardworking Americans.

Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi announced she is appointing Dr. Kathleen Sullivan Alioto, Dr. George French and Mr. Ralph Wolff to the National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity (NACIQI). NACIQI advises the Secretary of Education on matters related to higher education accreditation, and its primary function is to provide recommendations to the Secretary concerning whether accrediting agencies' standards are sufficiently rigorous and effective.

Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi today released the following statement after the Department of Health and Human Services announced that 16.4 million uninsured Americans have gained health insurance coverage since the Affordable Care Act became law nearly five years ago on March 23, 2010:
