Q: How is the birthday going so far?

Leader Pelosi. Great. Well, it's even going to be better when we have this wonderful vote in a few minutes. What [better] way to celebrate a birthday than with a wish coming true that we could work together to get the job done for the American people. I was just listening to the Speaker's speech on the floor, and it was very encouraging to hear.

"Businesses, families, workers, and our economy benefit when all employees earn an honest day's pay for a full day's work, regardless of gender. Yet, women in the United States are currently earning only 78 cents, on average, for every dollar earned by men – while African American women earn 64 cents and Latinas make a staggering 56 cents for every dollar a man makes.
