Kabul, Afghanistan – Speaker Nancy Pelosi led a Congressional Delegation to Afghanistan, where they met today with U.S. Forces and were briefed by U.S. Ambassador Karl Eikenberry and General Stanley McChrystal, commander of the International Security Assistance Force and U.S. Forces-Afghanistan.

The delegation met tonight in Kabul with President Hamid Karzai to discuss the political and security situation in Afghanistan.

Doha, Qatar -- Speaker Nancy Pelosi led a Congressional delegation to Qatar today, where the Members will visit the commanders and service members stationed at the Al Udeid Air Base outside of Doha. Qatar serves as a base for U.S. CENTCOM Forward Headquarters, which oversees military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Pelosi will also meet with His Highness Emir Sheikh Hama Bin Khalifa Al-Thani to discuss U.S.-Qatari relations and security challenges throughout the region.
