Washington, D. C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi issued this statement following the announcement of an agreement to end the strike by transit workers employed by the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) system:
“Both sides should be congratulated for going back to the table and finding an agreement that preserves worker safety, provides a fair raise, and allows BART to invest in the future.
