Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today after House Democrats supported an amendment that struck language from the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Act that would have prohibited the use of funds for construction bid solicitations that require or prohibit project labor agreements (PLAs). Democrats also defeated a Republican amendment in the bill that prohibited the use of funds to enforce the prevailing wage requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act:
