Washington, D.C. - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced today a Department of Transportation grant of $980,000 for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency for MUNI Bus Rehabilitation.
"This grant will assist MUNI in meeting the transportation needs of residents and visitors," Pelosi said. Funding will be used for the rehabilitation of approximately 10 percent of MUNI's bus fleet, extending the life of these vehicles, and ensuring reliable service.

The Department of Labor announced today that wholesale prices rose by 1.2 percent in July; last week, the department reported that consumer prices rose by 0.8 percent in July, meaning consumer inflation is rising at its fastest pace in 27 years:
