Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today after the Department of Labor announced that the economy added 114,000 jobs and the unemployment rate fell to 7.8 percent in September. Last week, the Department also announced that the previous year saw 400,000 more jobs created than originally estimated. With private businesses adding 104,000 jobs last month, this marks the 31st consecutive month of private sector growth:
