San Francisco -- At the urging of House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, Senators Barbara Boxer, and Dianne Feinstein, the Social Security Administration (SSA) today announced it was reversing its decision to close its office in San Francisco?s Western Addition neighborhood.

It is in that spirit, and with deep sadness on his passing, but with great thanks and joy for his life of good works, that I rise today to join my colleagues in paying tribute to Pope John Paul II.

Pelosi Leads Congressional Delegation to the Middle East

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi will lead a Congressional Delegation to the Middle East. The group will travel to Egypt, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, and Lebanon from March 18 to March 25.
Pelosi will be joined by Representatives Darrell Issa (R-CA), George Miller (D-CA), Henry Waxman (D-CA), Edward Markey (D-MA), Anna Eshoo (D-CA), James McGovern (D-MA), and Linda Sanchez (D-CA).
