Washington, D.C. -- Drew Hammill, spokesman for Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, issued the following statement on an amendment by Congressman Huelskamp of Kansas to the Commerce-Justice-Science appropriations bill that would bar the Justice Department from using any funds to oppose the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) (P.L. 104-199) in court. This amendment passed the House late this evening by a vote of 245 to 171.
