Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi issued this statement after the House Intelligence Committee voted to release a memo authored by Committee Democrats, a week after releasing the sham memo authored by Chairman Devin Nunes:

"A full week after voting to publicly release the dangerous, deliberately distorted Nunes memo, House Republicans have decided to pay lip-service to the public interest.

"The President must now put our national security and intelligence first, and expeditiously release the Democratic memo after review and appropriate redaction of sources and methods by law enforcement officials. The White House must not make redactions for political purposes.

"It is long past time that House Republicans end this charade and cease their campaign of obstruction and cover-up to hide the truth about the Trump-Russia scandal. The American people deserve to know the truth.

"As we move forward, Speaker Ryan and House Republicans must be held accountable to their constitutional duty to protect the American people against the Russian threat."
