Washington, D.C. â€" House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi announced she helped secure $79.4 million for San Francisco Bay area shipping, education, and wetlands restoration in H.R. 2419, the fiscal year 2006 Energy & Water Appropriations Act. The bill included $6.4 million Pelosi secured for San Francisco projects and $73 million Pelosi and her Bay Area colleagues requested for area projects.

Washington, D.C.â€"House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi today announced the passage of the San Francisco Old Mint Commemorative Coin Act in the House of Representatives.  Pelosi’s bill, H.R. 1953, would authorize the issuance of commemorative coins in 2006 to mark the 100th anniversary of the 1906 earthquake and fire and honor the Old Mint’s role in San Francisco’s recovery.

Washington, D.C.â€"House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi today announced $10.7 million for the San Francisco Bay Area in H.R. 2862, the Departments of Commerce and Justice, Science, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act for fiscal year 2006. The House of Representatives approved the bill today by a vote of 397 to 19.
