San Francisco â€" Paul and Nancy Pelosi happily welcome a new granddaughter, Isabella, born to their daughter, Christine Pelosi, and Peter Kaufman in San Francisco on Sunday, March 22.

Isabella is 6 pounds 15 ounces, is 19 ¾ inches long, and adorable.

Isabella is also the granddaughter of filmmakers Philip and Rose Kaufman of San Francisco.

Washington, D.C. â€" Speaker Nancy Pelosi spoke on the House floor this afternoon in strong support of H.R. 1586, which will impose a new 90 percent tax on bonuses received by executives who worked at companies, such as American International Group (AIG), that received more than $5 billion in taxpayer assistance. Washington, D.C. â€" Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued the following statement after the House overwhelmingly passed a bill this afternoon to dramatically expand national service opportunities and help Americans play a role in the economic recovery. The bill, the Generations Invigoration Volunteerism and Education (GIVE) Act, passed the house by a vote of 321 to 105.
