Washington, D.C. – Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi released the following statement on the passing of former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor:

“Today, America mourns the loss of Justice Sandra Day O’Connor: a trailblazing public servant, an icon for working mothers and an inspiration to women across the country and around the world.  Her passing is a tremendous loss for our nation.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi delivered remarks on the Floor of the House of Representatives to mark World AIDS Day. 

Speaker Emerita Pelosi honored those lost to the virus, paid tribute to President George W. Bush for his leadership in the fight against HIV/AIDS and called on Congressional leaders to make reauthorizing PEPFAR a top priority.
