Pelosi Statement on Third Anniversary of American Rescue Plan

San Francisco – Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi issued the following statement marking three years since the American Rescue Plan Act was signed into law:

“Three years ago, President Joe Biden signed into law the American Rescue Plan, which pulled our nation from the depths of the pandemic and ignited the strongest economic recovery in the world. 

“Democrats’ Rescue Plan got life-saving vaccines into arms, stimulus checks into pockets, children back in schools and people safely back to work.  At the same time, it slashed child poverty in half with our expanded Child Tax Credit, kept families in their homes and drove historic three-year job growth, with more than fifteen million jobs added since President Biden took office. 

“On this anniversary, we are committed to building on this progress – advancing President Biden’s unifying vision to further this great American comeback.”
