Pelosi Statement on the Passing of Congressman Pete McCloskey

Washington, D.C. – Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi issued this statement on the passing of former Congressman Pete McCloskey of California:

“The sad news of the passing of Bay Area Congressman Pete McCloskey was received with great sorrow by so many who viewed him as a visionary, courageous and patriotic American.

“As a champion for our environment and peace in the world, he brought honor to the state of California and to our country.  Congressman McCloskey will be sadly missed.

“Paul and I extend our deepest condolences to his wife, Helen, his four children and his entire family.  May he rest in peace.”
