Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi released this statement after a meeting of the bipartisan, bicameral Congressional Leadership with President Biden at the White House:
"Today's bipartisan leadership meeting with the President was constructive and encouraging. The President was clear in his vision for a big, bold and bipartisan infrastructure initiative.
"There is bipartisan recognition of the need for not only infrastructure repair but new infrastructure investment. The meeting was a good early step, which I am hopeful will take us toward the big and bold vision of President Biden, which Congressional Democrats share, as soon as possible.
"I thank the President for his determination to Build Back Better."
