Pelosi Statement on Terrorist Bombing in Pakistan

San Francisco — Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi today released this statement following a terrorist attack that killed nearly 70 people, many of them women and children, at a park in Lahore, Pakistan:

"The American people share in the grief for the victims and survivors of the unconscionable, horrific terror attack in Lahore on Sunday. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Pakistan as they grapple with this tragedy.

"The international community must come together to confront and end the scourge of terrorism. We must continue to forcefully reject intolerance, bigotry and ideologies that lead to acts of violence.

"The American people stand with the international community in condemning this brutal attack and offering prayers and support to the people of Pakistan during this difficult time."
