Pelosi Statement on Terror Attacks in Paris

Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi today released this statement following the attacks in Paris:

"The terror attacks unfolding across Paris tear at the hearts of all Americans. Tonight, we stand in solidarity with the French people as they grapple with the unconscionable violence that has claimed so many lives on this November night.

"Our urgent prayers are with the victims, the hostages and their families at this terrible time. We join in wishing for the swift and safe return of those held captive in Bataclan Concert Hall. We hold the whole city of Paris in our thoughts, and pledge whatever assistance we can offer to the people of France in these darkest moments and the days that follow.

"The world aches at the violence that has been visited on Paris. Tonight, we rededicate ourselves to the fight against terror and hate across the globe. Many of the details surrounding these attacks are as yet unknown. But we hope it may bring some comfort to the people of France to know they shall not stand alone."
