San Francisco – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released this statement after the Senate passed the Blunt-Klobuchar legislation to address sexual harassment on Capitol Hill:

"In February, the House worked in a bipartisan way to pass the Me Too Congress legislation unanimously so that that no victim of discrimination or harassment on Capitol Hill is forced to face the injustice of having his or her voice silenced. It also ensures that taxpayer money will never again be used to create a culture of complicity and silence on Capitol Hill.

"Now, the Senate has joined the House in taking action. Given the substantive differences between the two bills, the House and the Senate must now go to conference to produce a strong, final version that provides greater transparency and accountability, and fosters a climate of respect and dignity in the Congress."
