Pelosi Statement on President Biden’s Budget

Washington, D.C. – Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi issued this statement after President Biden unveiled his budget for FY2024 in Philadelphia:

"The President's budget presentation today was an important statement of our national values. The Biden budget will grow our economy with good-paying jobs, reduce our national debt and meet the needs of America's working families.

"Importantly, this proposal invests in America's care economy: including child care, paid family and medical leave, and housing. At the same time, it brings fairness to our tax code including with the Child Tax Credit, while protecting Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid – which are in danger of being cut by the Republicans."
