Pelosi Statement on Passage of the Short-Term Continuing Resolution

Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today after the House passed a continuing resolution that will fund the federal government until November 18th:

“From the start, Democrats insisted that we protect good-paying American jobs while meeting our obligations to families, small business owners, and communities affected by recent natural disasters. Today, we upheld that pledge.

“Congress has averted another Republican-manufactured crisis; but we must now address Americans’ number one priority: jobs – long ignored by the Republican majority – while reducing our long term deficit using a balanced approach.”
