“The announcement from the Obama Administration today that they will expedite building 21st century infrastructure is great news for San Franciscans, Californians, and indeed all Americans.

“Fresh from the victory finalizing the Merced to Fresno environmental review, the commitment to expediting the next phase of high-speed rail review jumpstarts economic growth, and 21st century jobs, and moves our state toward a future of world-class infrastructure at more than 200 miles-per-hour.
“Further the improvements at San Francisco’s Ferry Terminal will create local jobs, and improve day-to-day commuting for thousands in our city.

“These investments in infrastructure will transform communities, strengthen our economy, and improve quality of life.”
