Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today on the shootings and hostage situation at a Kosher Grocery in Paris:

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of all those innocent victims who lost their lives in the hostage situation on Friday at a kosher grocery store in Paris. This cowardly act of terror and anti-Semitism must be disavowed by people of all faiths and all nations.

"As we reflect on the terrorism in France this week we must strengthen our resolve and rededicate ourselves to protecting and honoring freedom of expression and freedom of religion wherever and whenever it appears.

"Americans stand in solidarity with the people of France in denouncing and rejecting terrorism, hate and anti-Semitism in all forms."
