Pelosi Statement on House Passage of Export-Import Bank Reauthorization

Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today after the House passed, on a bipartisan vote, the reauthorization of the Import-Export Bank:

“Today, led by House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer, the House took strong action to create American jobs and keep our nation competitive by reauthorizing the U.S. Export-Import Bank in a bipartisan way. This key part of the Democrats’ Make It in America jobs agenda will give certainty to the business community.

“The Export-Import Bank helps get American goods into markets abroad, creating jobs here at home. The vast majority of its efforts support the small and medium sized businesses that are the backbone of our economy.

“With this action, we have helped keep America number one.”
