Press Release
Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement on the crash of Germanwings Flight 9525:
“Our hearts ache for the families and friends of the 150 passengers and crew aboard Germanwings Flight 9525.  Every plane crash is a tragedy, but today, we are especially saddened by the loss of so many young people, full of hope and promise following their 10th grade class trip to Spain, who never made it home to Germany.
“The American people send our thoughts and prayers to the loved ones of two fellow Americans who died, and join in mourning those lost in the crash from every nation.
“We will stand with them in search of answers during the investigation to determine the cause of this tragedy.  We hope it is a comfort to the families of the victims that so many around the world share in their sadness at this difficult time.”
