Pelosi Statement on Establishment of Ethics Subcommittees to Investigate Congressmen Collins and Hunter

Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi issued this statement following an announcement by the House Ethics Committee that two separate subcommittees have been established to investigate Congressman Collins and Congressman Hunter, following their indictments by federal prosecutors:
 
“The widening investigations into Congressmen Collins and Hunter are further exposing the GOP’s rampant culture of corruption, cronyism and incompetence.  
 
“Far from draining the swamp, Republicans have turned Washington into a cesspool of self-enrichment and special interests.  While House Republicans enrich themselves and their special interest donors, Democrats will take strong action to clean up corruption to make Washington work For The People.
 
“No one is above the law, and Speaker Ryan must call on both Congressmen Collins and Hunter to resign.”
