Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued this statement after the House's request for an en banc rehearing in its litigation to enforce its lawful subpoena compelling former White House Counsel Don McGahn to testify was granted by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, which also vacated the earlier panel's judgment:

"The Court of Appeal's decision to grant an en banc rehearing in the McGahn case is a victory for the rule of law and for our Constitution's system of checks and balances. The full Court will now have the opportunity to uphold longstanding legal precedent that supports the House's ability to perform its Article I legislative oversight responsibilities and to address the Administration's wholesale obstruction of those responsibilities.

"The House will continue to exercise our constitutional authority to conduct legislative oversight on behalf of the American people, including by issuing our lawful and legitimate subpoenas. The American people deserve the truth."
