Pelosi Statement on Chairman McGovern’s Plans to Study House Rules Concerning Member Voting

San Francisco – Speaker Nancy Pelosi released the following statement concerning her request for Rules Committee Chairman Jim McGovern to issue a report on the House Rules concerning Member voting:

"Today, I called upon Rules Committee Chairman Jim McGovern to present a report on House Rules regarding voting for Member's review. On our conference call, he invited Members to submit comments.

"At the same time, Chairperson Zoe Lofgren of the Committee on House Administration informed Members that her committee is issuing a memo on additional resources for tele-conferencing.

"I thank the Chairs for their leadership."
