Pelosi Statement on CBO Score of Latest Version of Senate Trumpcare Proposal

Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement after the Congressional Budget Office released its assessment of Senate Republicans' latest version of Trumpcare:

"Today's CBO score shows that Senate Republicans haven't learned their lesson: no matter how many times their zombie bill fails, Republicans remain obsessed with finding new, even more cruel ways to inflict devastation on the health and pocketbooks of hard-working Americans.

"The latest version of Trumpcare would rip away the health coverage of 22 million people and explode health costs for American families, all just to give a handout to the wealthy and corporations. Regardless of how many times Republicans try to spin it, Trumpcare fundamentally means higher health costs, tens of millions of hard-working Americans losing health coverage, gutting key protections, a crushing age tax, and stealing from Medicaid.

"While Republicans keep trying to raise Trumpcare from the dead, House Democrats will stand firm against this moral monstrosity and fight with all our strength to protect American families.
