Pelosi Statement on CBO Review of President Trump’s Budget

Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement on the Congressional Budget Office's assessment of President Trump's FY2018 budget request:

"The only thing worse than the Trump Administration's math is their intentions. The Trump Budget's catastrophic cuts would devastate our nation's investments in jobs, wages and families just to hand more tax breaks to billionaires, and still leave a yawning deficit. Investments in better jobs, better skills, and better wages for America's families are the only path to real deficit reduction.

"Instead of following down the President's road to ruin, House Republicans should join Democrats to pass a budget that creates jobs and raises wages for working families across America."
