Pelosi Names Conferees to National Defense Authorization Act Conference

Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi today named House Democrats to serve on a conference committee of the House and Senate versions of the FY 2019 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA):
"Democrats stand for a strong and smart national defense," said Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi. "House Democrats know that the safety and security of the American people require a defense budget that provides the certainty and resources our armed forces need to continue their vital mission around the world. Our Democratic conferees bring great experience and patriotism to the table to ensure our military is prepared to meet the challenges of our time, and will fight any destructive, partisan Republican attempts to undermine our constitutional duty to protect and defend the American people."
