Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi today named 12 House Democratic Members to serve on a conference committee to complete a final Highway Bill agreement.

“Americans deserve a Congress that makes strong, smart investments in the infrastructure of America – infrastructure that creates jobs, improves quality of life, enhances safety and drives commerce,” said Leader Pelosi.  “Democrats will continue to fight to move America forward by pushing for a robust Highway bill that meets the urgent transportation infrastructure needs of communities across country.

“With the leadership of our Highway bill conferees, Democrats will champion a stronger commitment to investing in the infrastructure that America needs to succeed,” Leader Pelosi continued.  “A robust Highway bill can create the bigger paychecks and better infrastructure needed to improve the lives of hard-working American families.”
