Pelosi Hosts APEC Interparliamentary Breakfast in San Francisco

San Francisco – On Friday, Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi hosted Members of Congress, Members of Parliaments and other civic leaders attending the Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders’ Summit for a convening breakfast of parliamentarians at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco.

"It is with excitement and pride that many of my Congressional colleagues and I joined leaders at the Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation Leaders’ Summit in San Francisco: the golden gateway to the Asia-Pacific," Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi said.  "It was my privilege to convene parliamentarians attending APEC from both sides of the Pacific at the Asian Art Museum to deepen the bonds between our parliaments and our peoples."

This year, the Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders’ Summit was chaired by the United States in San Francisco.  APEC aims to promote economic interdependence among member countries and to realize an open, resilient and peaceful Asia-Pacific.
