Pelosi Delegation Visits Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar

Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi issued the following statement after visiting troops at Al Udeid Air Base:

"On Mothers' Day weekend, our delegation was pleased to meet with many mothers serving our country here at Al Udeid to express our deep gratitude for their service and sacrifice. Our conversations provided an invaluable opportunity to hear their views on the current and future role of women in our military forces.

"The delegation was briefed by Major General James Jones, Deputy Commander, U.S. Air Forces Central Command (CENTCOM), on support operations in countries falling under CENTCOM's areas of responsibility. These varied operations provide critical supplies; Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR); and other support to our troops, including those serving on the front lines in Afghanistan."
