Pelosi, Congressional Delegation Receive Briefings at Allied Joint Force Command Naples and at U.S. Naval Forces Europe and Africa

Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and the Congressional Delegation ahead of a
briefing today at the Allied Joint Force Command Naples (JFC).
Naples– Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and a Congressional Delegation traveling to Italy and Ukraine received briefings today at the Allied Joint Force Command Naples (JFC) and at the U.S. Naval Forces Europe and Africa (NAVEUR), home of the Sixth Fleet.
Admiral Mark Ferguson, Commander, JFC, and Commander, NAVEUR, led a briefing on international security cooperation with our NATO partners. Italian Lieutenant General Leonardo Di Marco, JFC Chief of Staff, also participated in the session. Vice Admiral James Foggo, Commander, Sixth Fleet, led an update on a range regional of maritime operations.
"Today's briefings provided an opportunity for Members to engage in an in-depth discussion of military operations and NATO engagement in Eastern Europe, the Mediterranean, and Africa," said Leader Pelosi. "It also provided an up-to-the minute preparation for our visit to Ukraine."
"Security cooperation with our NATO allies is critical as we work together to promote stability and to counter terrorism," she added.
Leader Pelosi continued, "It is always an honor to thank our men and women in uniform whose service keeps us safe at home and abroad. We again thanked the Italian government, our strong NATO partner, for the hospitality given to our military."
