Pelosi Announces Congressman Ron Barber's Committee Assignments

Washington, D.C. - Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi announced today that the House Democratic Caucus has approved Congressman Ron Barber’s appointment to the House Armed Services Committee and the House Committee on Homeland Security. Congressman Barber was sworn-in earlier this week:

“Congressman Barber will bring an independent voice, a lifelong commitment to public service, and a firm dedication to our national security to the Armed Services and Homeland Security Committees,” Leader Pelosi said. “Building on the legacy of Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, Congressman Barber will serve as a strong advocate for our men and women in uniform and will always meet our first responsibility: ensuring the safety and security of the American people.”
