Pelosi Announces $4 Million for Kai Ming Head Start
San Francisco – Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi announced that Kai Ming Head Start, a San Francisco non-profit organization established in 1975, will receive more than $4 million from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. This new federal funding will support early childhood care and education initiatives.
“Kai Ming Head Start has been vital to children in San Francisco: providing services critical to their development at low or no cost for eligible families,” Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi said. “This exciting new funding for Kai Ming – made possible by Congressional Democrats and delivered by the Biden-Harris Administration – will help shape the next generation of Bay Area students, ensuring our children arrive at school ready to learn and succeed.”
