Go Giants, Go!
Congratulations to the San Francisco Giants for advancing to the World Series. Last night, they celebrated their second win over the Detroit Tigers in the series. As the Member of Congress representing the Giants, I was pleased to engage in a friendly wager with several Members of Congress who represent the Detroit Tigers. I am confident that San Francisco’s finest chocolates from Ghiradelli, TCHO, and See’s Candies will be safe from Detroit’s Representatives, as the Giants are going to go all the way! To learn what each Member offered in the wager, please visit my website.

Fighting Against Discriminatory DOMA
For more than a year, Congressional Republicans have committed valuable taxpayer dollars, nearly $1.5 million, to defending discrimination and preserving inequality – only to lose case after case in their effort to uphold the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). There is nothing effective or efficient about this utter abuse of the people’s trust or the public purse; it is simply wasteful and wrong, and Americans deserve better.

The American people should no longer have to foot the bill for this campaign. It is time for the Congressional Republicans to drop their frivolous, taxpayer-funded lawsuits without any delay. We look forward to the day when DOMA is relegated to the dustbin of history once and for all.
