San Francisco – Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, who represents San Francisco, and Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, II, who represents Kansas City, announced a friendly wager on the outcome of the Super Bowl.  When the 49ers win, Congressman Cleaver will send Speaker Emerita Pelosi’s office a platter of Kansas City barbecue.  If the Chiefs win, Speaker Emerita Pelosi will send Congressman Cleaver’s office a variety of See’s Candies and Ghirardelli chocolates.

Washington, D.C. – Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Committee Rosa DeLauro and Ranking Member of the House Rules Committee Jim McGovern announced their nomination of Chef José Andrés and his organization World Central Kitchen for the Nobel Peace Prize.  Their nomination recognizes Chef Andrés and World Central Kitchen’s quick, extensive and life-saving responses to recent emergencies around the globe, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the war in Ukraine and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

San Francisco – Ahead of tomorrow’s NFC Championship Game between the Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers, Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (CA-11) and Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (MI-06) announced a friendly wager on the outcome of the game.

When the 49ers win and advance to the Super Bowl, Rep. Dingell, who represents Southeast Michigan, will send Rep. Pelosi’s office a variety of Sanders Candy.  If the Lions win, Rep. Pelosi, who represents San Francisco, will send Congresswoman Dingell’s office a variety of See’s Candies and Ghirardelli chocolates.

Washington, D.C. – Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi announced that the San Francisco Bay Area will soon receive $15 million in new federal funding to deploy 1,600 publicly accessible electric vehicle (EV) charging ports.  This funding was awarded by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration under President Joe Biden’s historic Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
