Honoring America's Principles
Health Care Is a Right
This week, I was honored to celebrate the rededication of HealthRIGHT 360's Access and Engagement Center, which has become a lifeline for thousands of San Franciscans seeking compassionate, high-quality care. Thanks to federal investments that I was proud to secure, this center will continue connecting individuals and families with the health care, behavioral health services and support they need to thrive.
Health care is a right—not a privilege. As Republicans continue their assault on Medicaid and threaten affordable care for millions of Americans, Democrats remain committed to strengthening the programs that save lives and expand opportunity. Together, we must continue fighting to ensure that every person, regardless of their income or circumstance, can access the care they need with dignity and respect.

Speaker Emerita Pelosi joins HealthRIGHT 360 leaders, staff and community partners to celebrate the rededication of the organization's Access and Engagement Center.
Building for the Future
This week marked eleven years since we came together with local, state and federal partners to celebrate the transformation of Doyle Drive into the Presidio Parkway. It stands as a lasting reminder of what can be achieved when leaders at every level of government work together in partnership for the public good.
While some see the Presidio Parkway as just a roadway, San Franciscans know it is an investment in safety, sustainability and our shared future. As we reflect on this milestone, I remain grateful to the engineers, workers, community leaders and public servants whose vision and determination made this project possible. Together, we proved that when we invest in our infrastructure, we strengthen our communities and leave a legacy that will serve generations to come.

People Over Politics
Earlier this year, President Trump claimed that America could not meet the needs of working families because "we're fighting wars." Now, Republicans are putting those priorities into practice with a new budget that spends another $73 billion in taxpayer dollars for the President's endless wars while working families continue to struggle with rising costs and economic uncertainty. Our values are reflected in our budgets, and Democrats believe America's resources should be invested in lowering costs, strengthening healthcare, expanding educational opportunity and building an economy that works for everyone—not asking working people to sacrifice while giving even more to endless conflict.
At the same time, the President chose to deliver a primetime address recycling long-debunked conspiracy theories because his ego will not allow him to accept that he lost a free and fair election in 2020. At a moment when families are demanding solutions to the challenges they face every day, the American people deserve leadership focused on lowering costs, creating opportunity and strengthening our democracy—not relitigating an election decided half-a-dozen years ago.
